This Fall, new Kindergarten students will begin their elementary school adventure. If you have a child ready to become a kindergarten student, or know someone who does, Alpine School District has begun the registration process. To register for kindergarten, please follow these steps:
1) Please find which school your child will attend by checking the school boundary map found HERE
2) Please have your documents uploaded and ready to send with the registration. Required documents include birth certificate, Immunizations (or exemption certificate), proof of address (this can be any mail with your name and address on it), and guardianship documents (if applicable in cases of child custody).
3) Please begin the online registration process- registration is done online only, not in person at the school. A link can be found HERE. If you have other students attending Alpine schools, you will register using your current Skyward account. If your kindergarten is the first to attend an Alpine District school, you will register using the Temporary account link.
4) Alpine District uses a full day kindergarten model, however, if you would like a half day kindergarten option for your student, please call our office at 801-610-8106. We will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee a class devoted to half day only. It depends on our registration numbers and half day requests. If there are not enough students to have a devoted half day class, we will still do our best to accommodate the half day request through our teachers and administrator. Typically, this has been done by the student attending the class beginning at 8:00 am and leaving as the class goes to lunch.
Once registration is complete, your student's information will be sent directly to our office, and we will complete the registration on our end. You can expect a phone call OR email over the summer time as the new school year gets closer with any information regarding kindergarten testing and class placement.
Please keep in mind, students MUST be 5 years old before September 1, 2026 to be eligible for kindergarten registration. They must also be potty trained to attend kindergarten.
